That said, though, it’s not unwearably warm, the way some bronzers can be - it’s just not quite perfect on cool skintones. While I love the depth and pigmentation of this one, I find that it’s best to use a light hand with it, and I find that I’ll often mix it with a matte grey shade to cool it down a bit. On Karen, it’s a really natural, bare-cheek blush on me, it’s a warm, dark contour shade. The shade: What’s cool about a blush like Harmony is that it can span a really wide range of skintones, but it’s quite different on them all. I’m not the best at keeping things alive. By contrast, I sit somewhere around an NC15, and despite absolutely adoring cats as long as they’re not kittens, I’ve never owned one.

I know a lot of you read MABB, but for those of you who don’t, here’s a quick primer: it’s written by a lovely terrifyingly awesome crazy cat lady named Karen, whose skin is about an NC42 (though sometimes here forearms are a little lighter). I love being able to see the same product on a range of different skintones, and I thought this was the perfect example.

If you’re that person feel free to reach out and leave a comment or follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Bloglovin‘.The product: MAC Powder Blush in Harmony (Matte)Īfter seeing Harmony (one of my first MAC products) on Makeup and Beauty Blog this week, I had to put up a proper post about it. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model.

Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. Isabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much.

It’s meant to be used as a blusher, bronzer, highlighter, and contour powder with graduating strips of color in various shades.

The formula is paraben and talc-free which is a plus if you’re sensitive and also terribly aware of ingredients going on your face. I feel somewhat badly about indulging since I have SO many blushes to get through and this is about the size of of three MAC blushes (nearly 1 oz in size). It’s a ton of powder so if you have a larger stash you might want to second guess the purchase as this is a whole lot of powder to get through.

Just like the Sephora Hot Hues Bronzer this comes housed in a massive compact about the size of a music CD.

This is multi-purpose face powder with tangerine-inspired hues according to Sephora but honestly, inspired is the keyword here as there really isn’t a whole lot of tangerine going on here, merely soft peachy shades of color. I’m having one of my senior moments maybe. Don’t quote me but I could have sworn the new Sephora Harmony Powder was available in two shades but since the new Sephora website launched, I can’t seem to find the other shade.
